About the Society

Don't try this at home! Haha.  Anyone who knows Senior Portrait Society aristocrat Sean L knows that he is a rubix cube master.  He is always studying the latest algorithms and cube releases which enhance his math skills.  This photo was actually an idea that he had and our society photographer put an amazing spin of creativity into it!  The result: this one-of-a-kind photo that speaks to all the mysteries surrounding solving the rubix cube.  (It doesn't include peeling the stickers off and replacing them.  Yeah, we know you've done it before.)

We believe that being a photographer includes an inherent responsibility to show each person's unique features and personality.  Out of disgust for the average, generic and mundane, the Senior Portrait Society by Gatlinburg Photo was born.
High School Seniors, please visit The Senior Portrait Society of Gatlinburg, Tennessee for more information & give your High School Senior Portraits the personality and visual attention they deserve!!

We know what is important to today's senior and we have the ability as artists to create a once-in-a-lifetime experience for our clients.  We intend to introduce originality, character and identity into senior portraiture.  By infusing the interests that make up the culture of today's senior.

Today's senior is a member of an exclusive society that consists of dreamers, risk-takers and persons who intend to leave a lasting impression on the world as we know it.  It is pretty much summed up in this quote by the late Steve Jobs:

“Here’s to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They’re not fond of rules. And they have no respect for the status quo. You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them. About the only thing you can’t do is ignore them. Because they change things. They push the human race forward. And while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius. Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do.”
- Steve Jobs

The society challenges our local high school seniors to step outside the box of "the cookie-cutter" images that is the standard for our area. (Who wants the same photo their moms and dads took in their senior year?)  If posing on a Styrofoam representation of your senior year isn't your style (good Lord...) the society has a place for you!  Give us a call and let's get started planning your one-of-a-kind–NEVER TO BE DUPLICATED–senior portrait!
